Graphic Designer - Print and Digital
Location: Hanover, MD
Job Type: Full Time, Contract
Start Date: 8/1/09 -
We are seeking a talented mid-level Designer to work with our creative team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work efficiently with a wide variety of industry-standard graphic design and layout software programs.
Responsibilities:
- Design including but not limited to, Brochures, Newsletters, Posters, Direct Mail Pieces, Advertising, Logo Design, T-shirt, other various giveaway items, templates in Word and Power Point
- Make changes or corrections to existing artwork as directed by Art Director
- Collect files for output/create print ready PDF files to printer specifications and FTP to printer destinations on time
- Work with Art Director to develop project concepts
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have:
- 2+ years of professional graphic design experience
- Extensive knowledge of file management, proper management of 4-color images, PDF and printer ready files
- Keen understanding of web design, print production, posting and limitations of internet related designs and graphics
- Highly skilled in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Quark, Microsoft Word and Power Point.
- BA in design or related field preferred
